Isa 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Above him stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Isa 6:4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.
Heard a recent sermon from this text that has set my heart aching for space before the throne. The minister asked the question “when was the last time you spoke, and the doorposts of the building shook, and the place filled with the glory of the Lord?” Oh, if only we would understand the gaze of the soul, and how necessary it is. Our words would then have power as we speak from this place of beholding him in the beauty of his holiness. Seraphim worship him never ceasing to cry holy as their eyes, within and without gaze on his beauty…yet we get bored when we sing the same worship chorus a few times! Oh, we haven’t seen him. They have been singing the same worship Word for millennium….Oh, we haven’t seen him! I long for a divine revelation of his beauty to transform my worship, my words, my life.
